Welcome to 2014 the year of the Wind Horse

The Chinese New Year falls on January 31st this year. The shift begins on the 31st and will continue until the 4th.  It will come in really strong and you may feel uncomfortable at the beginning so give your body a couple of weeks into February to adjust.  There have been some adjustments to the time so please double check the times from the last newsletter.  There are two classes on Saturday which should help make the class sizes a little more comfortable. We will be celebrating the New Years with Free classes and Joss Paper rituals on the 31st of January, February 1st and February 2nd.  The times will be listed on the Class list attached to this newsletter. The Horse represents summer and as such a very active energy.  The fire of the horse has been long awaited by many people and represents an economic and mental shift in a very positive direction.  The horse will help to eliminate the fearful state that permeated from 2008 to 2012.  Disappearing for the first half of 2013 and seeming to fall back again in August.  The good positive energy of the horse should hold for the entire year. We can expect a lot of good economic movement and growth for 2014.The negative aspects of the Horse year are confrontation and fighting energy that comes with this year.  Therefore the cures for this year will be centered around creating harmony and balancing the confrontation. The Horse does not back down easily and therefore current global conflicts are very unlikely to be resolved.  Peaceful resolutions to difficulties will be harder to achieve this year. The heavenly stem of the year is wood which sits on top of the horse in the Ba Zi chart (Chinese Astrology) The wood is also called wind and supportive to the fire causing the fire to be extremely strong throughout the year. It is time to remove the firecrackers from over the front door if you currently have them.  Most people will not need any extra fire this year. The fire of the Horse is very good for the economy so expect housing and the stock market to be on the upswing.  People will start feeling better about the future.People born in the year of the Rat will be in a year of conflict and will need to carry a goat to pull the energy of the horse away.  It is best to wear the animal talisman around your neck on a red string but we have had excellent luck with people wearing them as bracelets also.  Rat years are 1924, 36, 48, 60, 72, 84, 96, 2008.  Remember this is from the Chinese calendar and if you were born before February 4th. It is necessary to use the previous year as your birth year.People born in the year of the horse should also carry a goat as the horse creates an offense when it sees itself. Horse years are 1930, 42, 54, 66, 78, 90, 2002, 2014People born in Tiger and Dog years are friends with the Horse and this should help bring them a year better luck. These animal years may want to carry a horse to honor the good relationship the dog tiger and horse have. There are still conflicts relating to travel due to the strong fire energy of the horse.  The travel issues relate mostly to water and air travel.  2013 related more to difficulties with rail (train) travel.  Please keep carrying your travel cures throughout 2014 to soften the conflict.  Placing a Dragon/phoenix at your door will also help to harmonize the year or a Tai Chi symbol (yin yang) These symbols represent harmony and balance. To prepare for Chinese New Year and be able to celebrate properly it is a good idea to make sure that your home is clean and ready for January 31st.  Try to complete any organization projects prior to this date.  Do not clean, sweep, or vacuum on the 31st as this could take away the good energy of the upcoming year.  The things you do on the day of Chinese New Year set the tone for the entire year.  So also refrain from having negative thoughts, arguing, or doing things you do not want to.  You can place a piece of red paper with the words happiness and harmony written on it and place it on the front door. This collects the good energy and as you open and close the door and it will bring it into the home.  There are a wealth of New Years rituals you can choose to follow and too many to list in the newsletter. If you would like to research some of them of course the internet has a wealth of information.  In the Wind Horse classes scheduled for the 24th and 30th we will be preparing special Wind Horses to place on the front door along with learning how to bring the God of Wealth into the home.  This is a good year to do these rituals as for many people their money element is returning.  The Grand Duke sits in the South of our properties this year and if your house faces South it is a good idea to keep a pi-you in your car to ward off the Grand Duke Jupiter. By placing one or two pi-yous in front of the front door if you face south or in the South of the home even if you do not face South as it will help ward off the Grand Duke.  Fu Dogs and Qi Lins can also be used and will have the same effect. Do not dig in the South as this could also upset the Grand Duke. The untimely stars for the current cycle of 8 are 2,4,5, and 7.  The 3 and 6 are considered safe and usable although many practitioners will place cures in the location of the 3 and 6 just to be safe. Prior to moving any cures please wash them thoroughly with soap and water. To cure the 2 star which moves to the east in 2014 you can use 6 Chinese coins and still water.  You can also hang a 6 pearl cure like the one many people had to hang in the center for 2013.  You can also use a Wu-lou gourd .  The 2 star represents illness and can be upset by digging.  So it is important not to dig in the east in 2013. To cure the 5 star which moves to the Northwest in 2014 the 6 pearl cure that was used in the center of the home has proven to be extremely effective.  You can move your 5 star cure (6 pearls) from the center and place it in the Northwest.  Other effective cures are the same as for the two star. 6 coins with still water, or a wu-lou gourd. The 5 star represents death and disaster and should be cured yearly.   Southeast 3South 8 & Grand DukeSouthwest 1East 2Center 4West 6Northeast 7North 9Northwest 5The 4 star has moved to the center for 2013.  You may already have a 4 star cure in the Southeast which needs to moved into the center for 2014.  I have created two styles of 4 star cures for 2014 as this star can cause lawsuits, infidelity and female problems.  There is one with an amber heart and red crystal which should be used if you have already been effected by lawsuits or infidelity or if your career is somehow involved with the field of law. The cures were created to create protection and harmony along with catching and holding the 4 star.  This cure can also cure the 3 star if you choose to do so.The 7 star has moved to the Northeast for 2014.  An active 7 star can create robbery and losses.   The 7 star can be cured with 3 bamboo in still water which I have found to not be entirely effective.  You can also use a crystal lotus with a blue gloss sphere in the center or a hanging 7 star cure.  The seven star was in the West in 2013.  You may have a cure located there already.  Most houses built between 1984 and 2003 have active 7 stars at the front door.  If your house faces West and you hung a 7 star cure it might be effective to get a new one and leave it there. For anyone who has not attended the Chinese New year before at out Scottsdale store what we do is have a free class further explaining the energies and predictions for the year.  Afterwards we do a Joss Paper ritual where papers are burnt with the representations of all the good things we want to bring in for the year.  The papers also help appease sentient beings so they are happy and do not cause problems for the year.  I scheduled four classes this year so we would have room for everyone. Our Chinese New Year’s Celebrations will be in full swing as of January 31st.  On Friday the 31st we will have a class at 6:30 and the ritual will shortly after around 8:00.On Saturday February 1st.  I will have a free class 11:00 and at 2:00.   The ritual will be at approximately 3:30On Sunday February 2nd Class is at 5:00 and the ritual will be start about 6:30On January 24th and January 30th I will have a Wind Horse class, in this class we will prepare wind horses for the front door and learn how to bring in the God of Wealth, these classes begin at 6:30 and have been added to the class list. Classes for 2014January 23rd I-ching Divination (we will be asking questions about 2014)January 24th 2014 Wind horse class at 6:30January 30st 2014 Wind horse class at 6:30February 3, 2014 Space Clearing: Learn different space clearing techniques to help keep your environment more supportive.
